Downstream processing of printed materials is an important step in the production process.
This calls for very exact and careful work.
That is why we use the latest generation of a computer-controlled cutting and milling plotter from Zünd – the 3 XL 3000 – for cutting operations as it cuts the printed material to a predefined size with millimetre accuracy as it leaves the 3.2 m wide rollers.
After cutting, the lanes of material are joined together to create complete images.
Depending on the material, this is done either by means of a HF welding machine – used for tarps and netting, for instance - or a 24 m long assembly table big enough to accommodate even the largest formats; textile images are usually stitched together.
The edges are then either reinforced or seamed and adapted for installation by fitting flat welts, eyelets, loops, hook-and-loop material or twist locks.
